Explanation of Solution

Since Mrs.C received 5 mg of Morphine sulphate when she was in PCAU and 1 mg of morphine sulphate every 10 minutes as IV in PCA, this will make her be in the semiconscious stage for a long time. The drug effect will last for quite a long time and delay in a person recovery to the conscious stage. A person in the semiconscious stage is very slow to respond verbally since her conscious stage and cognitive skills are inert due to narcotic effects of morphine sulphate.
