• Select Graph>Stem and leaf.
• Select Global Temperature in Graph variables.
• Click OK.

Step-by-step procedure to obtain time series plot using MINITAB software is as follows:

• Select Graph>Time series plots.
• Choose Multiple.
• In Series select the column Petroleum Imports, Petroleum Imports as percent and Petroleum Imports from Persian.
• Click OK.

Interpretation:

From the stem plot, it is observed that the values are arranged form lowest values to highest values.

From the time series plot it observed that there is an upward trend and a downward trend simultaneously.
