The relationship between the diminishing
Concept Introduction:
Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility: The law states that as we consume more and more of a unit, the successive utility from consuming additional units goes on falling. In other words, the marginal utility goes on falling as we consume more of a good.
Explanation of Solution
The restaurant owners know this concept and know that a consumer will consume till that unit of good where his marginal utility is positive. They know that as consumer consumes more, the marginal utility starts falling. So, the customers would not want to go to dissatisfaction and this would make them stop soon.
Some restrictions that restaurant can impose on customers to make a profit are as follows:
(a) The customer cannot share his plates with other customers.
(b) Time of consumption must be limited.
(c) No takeaways are allowed in the bags.

Sales of "Generic B" also increased from 300 to 1500 units per day. 1 Calculate the arc-price elasticity of demand for Generic A. You also need to interpret the elasticity. 2 Calculate the arc-cross-price elasticity of demand for Generic B. You also need to interpret the elasticity. 3 Is Generic B a "complement" or a "substitute"?arrow_forward

- 1 The Law of Diminishing Utility: For example, I consume too many apples. Until I eat the fifth one, I start getting sick of it so the net total utility is starting to fall. I park in a car park and when I park there for 6 hours, it is getting more expensive so I prefer to leave early. Is this an example of diminishing utility?arrow_forward1. According to the law of diminishing marginal utility, which of the following choices is true? When marginal utility is decreasing, total utility will always decrease. Total satisfaction of a good or service decreases as more units are consumed. The additional satisfaction received from consuming extra units of a good or service decreases as consumption of the good or service increases. The additional satisfaction received from consuming extra units of a good or service increases as consumption of the good or service increases.arrow_forwardQuestion 1 Which of the following statements is NOT true?
