Introduction:

The plasma membrane of the muscle cells is referred as the sarcolemma. The nucleus of the cells which are pushed by the ribbonlike organelles called the myofibrils. The striped appearance of the skeletal muscle cells is due to the presence of the alternating light and the dark bands. The light band is known as the I band and the dark band is called the A band.
