The muscles of the body are responsible for the movements of the body. The muscular tissues can be categorized into skeletal, cardiac, and the smooth muscles. The skeletal and the smooth muscles are the elongated muscles. Due to this, the skeletal and the smooth muscles are also called the muscular fibers. The cardiac muscles are the muscles of the heart and help in forming the major portion of the walls of the heart.
