Skin is composed of several types of tissues and is known to be the largest organ of the body. Skin, also called cutaneous membrane, has two distinct layers. They are, outer epidermis and inner dermis.
Explanation of Solution
The two layers of the skin are connected together by a basement membrane. Squamous epithelial cells comprise epidermis, the outer layer, and dermis. The inner layer of skin is composed of connective tissue, smooth muscle tissue, nervous tissue, and blood. Name of the tissues in the outer and inner linings of the skin are:
