Introduction

Arming more people would increase casualties in mass shootings by creating more crossfires as untrained people open fire meaning to help. Schools should not be turned into armed camps, because children need to know that guns are not what keeps them safe, but the actions of experienced security and preventive measures to make it harder to enter the building. College students carrying guns would increase the odds that an unstable person will have a gun. The answer to the problem of gun violence is not more guns, but rather more education and services for those with stressors or difficulties.
