Introduction: The process of migration of solvent (water) from the area of low concentration to a higher concentration is known as osmosis. This process takes place through a semipermeable membrane. The examples are − soaking of water by skin, soaking of water by plant cell, dehydration of slug after sprinkling salt on it.
