Summary Introduction

Case summary:

The case deals with the differentiated and low-cost workplace. Company NW and Company W are the food markets, which used a differentiation business strategy. Both the companies are on the “100 best places to work” stated by “Fortune”. Company A and Company WM use a cost-leadership strategy.

On an employee review site, only 50 percent of people working in Company WM suggested the firm to a friend. However, 80 percent of people working in Company NW and Company W suggested the firm to a firm. Hence, people should avoid low-cost leaders in lieu of strong differentiators while choosing a firm to work.
