Concept introduction:
Most of the organic compounds are formed by one metalloid and one non-metal element or two non-metal elements. These compounds are collectively denoted as binary molecular compounds. Moreover, these compounds contain two different elements (non-metals) or may have more than one atom of element. While naming these compounds the suitable prefixes such as mono, di, tri, tetra etc., should be suitably used. Usually, two compounds such as H2O and NH3 can be referred as their traditional names such as water and ammonia.
