Program Plan Intro

Internet:

Internet is the interconnection of smaller networks around the world.

• Using internet can establish a communication among computers that belong to the same protocols.
• It is used to connect the computers, and they can share all kind of information.
• There are three ways to connect home computers to the network such as phone modem, a digital subscriber line, and cable modem.
• It is the common telecommunication infrastructure, and it provides individual users secured access to their organization’s (private) network.
• The categories of network are:
  • Local Area Network(LAN)
  • Wide Area Network(WAN)
  • Metropolitan Area Network(MAN)

Information technology:

• It is used to store, retrieve, manipulate and transmit the information
• IT deals with products, Methods, Inventions and Standards.
• Information Technology = Hardware + Software +Data.
• IT is a subpart of Information communications technology and also known as the synonym for computer networks.
