Program Plan Intro

A magic square

Program plan:

• In a file “MagicSquare.java”, create a class “MagicSquare”,
  • Declare necessary variables.
  • Define the constructor,
    • Set the size.
    • Create 2D array.
    • Create a loop,
      • Create an inner loop,
        • Fill the array with “0”.
    • Initialize the row and column.
    • Ser the old row and column.
    • Create loop,
      • Check whether [row][column] has been written already,
        • If it is true, set the row and column as old.
        • Decrement the row value.
      • Assign the value to array.
      • Set the current row and column as old row and column.
      • Update the row and column.
  • Define a method “tostring()” to return the string representation of contents of the square.
• In a file “MagicSquareMaker.java”, create a class “MagicSquareMaker”,
  • Define the method “main()”,
    • Create an object for “Scanner” class.
    • Prompt the user to enter the size of the square.
    • Get the size from the user.
    • Check whether the size is odd,
      • If it is true, create an object for “MagicSquare” class.
      • Call the method “toString()”.
    • Otherwise, print the error message.
