Introduction:
Viruses can only be cultivated in living cells. Cell cultures are an extremely efficient way of cultivating viruses. In this method, cells are grown in single layers and infected with viruses. Growth and multiplication of viruses leads to damage and lysis of these cells that can be visualized as clear patches.
