Chapter 7, Problem 16DC
Summary Introduction
In the human system, the cells need oxygen to stay alive. Oxygen is provided by the respiratory system to all bodily cells, while removing the unwanted carbon dioxide. The respiratory system is majorly classified into three parts, namely, the airways, the lungs, and the muscles for inhale and exhale. The airway includes the nose, mouth, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles. The primary external opening for the respiratory system is nose and nasal cavity.
