Concept explainers
a.
To explain: The significance of detecting the sequences: a. a promoter, b. a sequence of 75 to 80 nucleotides that folds into a shape.
Concept introduction:
A genetic code is a “set of rules” by which a cell uses the nucleotides in mRNA to assemble amino acids into protein. It is used to carry the information from parents to their offsprings. The codon consists of a group of mRNA bases corresponds to either amino acid or act as a stop codon. There are 64 codons that are used to specify the 20 amino acids.
b.
To explain: The significance of detecting a sequence of 75 to 80 nucleotides that folds into a shape.
c.
To explain: Significance of detecting a sequence RNAs with poly A tails.
