Inventory Class
Design an Inventory class that can hold information for an item in a retail store’s inventory. The class should have the following private member variables.
Variable Name | Description |
itemNumber | An int that holds the item’s number. |
quantity | An int that holds the quantity of the item on hand. |
cost | A double that holds the wholesale per-unit cost of the item |
The class should have the following public member functions.
Member Function | Description
default constructor | Sets all the member variables to 0.
constructor #2 | Accepts an item’s number, quantity, and cost as arguments. Calls other class functions to copy these values into the appropriate member variables. Then calls the setTotalCost function.
Member Function | Description
setItemNumber | Accepts an int argument and copies it into the itemNumber member variable.
setQuantity | Accepts an int argument and copies it into the quantity member variable.
setCost | Accepts a double argument and copies it into the cost member variable.
getItemNumber | Returns the value in itemNumber.
getQuantity | Returns the value in quantity.
getCost | Returns the value in cost.
gotTotalCost | Computes and returns the totalCost. |

- Some of the characteristics of a book are the title, author(s), publisher, ISBN, price, and year of publication. Design a class bookType that defines the book as an ADT. Each object of the class bookType can hold the following information about a book: title, up to four authors, publisher, ISBN, price, and number of copies in stock. To keep track of the number of authors, add another member variable. Include the member functions to perform the various operations on objects of type bookType. For example, the usual operations that can be performed on the title are to show the title, set the title, and check whether a title is the same as the actual title of the book. Similarly, the typical operations that can be performed on the number of copies in stock are to show the number of copies in stock, set the number of copies in stock, update the number of copies in stock, and return the number of copies in stock. Add similar operations for the publisher, ISBN, book price, and authors. Add the appropriate constructors and a destructor (if one is needed). Write the definitions of the member functions of the class bookType. Write a program that uses the class bookType and tests various operations on the objects of the class bookType. Declare an array of 100 components of type bookType. Some of the operations that you should perform are to search for a book by its title, search by ISBN, and update the number of copies of a book.arrow_forwardWrite base class with the name Shape . The Shape class have Private Variable: area, a double used to hold the shape's area. Public Member Functions: getArea the Accessor. This function should return the value in the member variable area. Parameterized constructor—Initializes area member. Defualt constructor— Empty body calcArea. This function should be a incomplete function.Next, define a class named Triangle . It should be child of Shape class. It should have the following members:Protected Member Variables: base, a integer used to hold the base of triangle.Height, a integer used to hold the height of the triangle. Public Member Functions: constructor—Initializes values for base, height. The overridden calcArea function in Circle described below.calcArea—calculates the area of the Triangle (1/2* base * height) and stores the result in the inherited member area. After you have created these classes, create a driver program that defines a Triangle object. Demonstrate that each object…arrow_forwardDesign an Account class used to represent an individual’s declining balance gift card. It contains a string for the account number, and a float value for the balance. It should include the following 7 functions: a 2-argument constructor (it accepts an account number and initial balance). a set function, one for each attribute (2 total functions, setAccount and setBalance. Each assigns an argument value to the named member variable. a get function for each attribute (2 total functions, getAccount, and getBalance). Each returns the value stored in the named member variable. a function to display the account’s information to the screen. The account number and balance value should be labelled. a function withdraw that takes a float argument and subtracts it from the balance. Write the class declaration. Member variables should NOT be accessible outside the class! Member functions should be accessible outside the class! Write the member function definitions for only the following…arrow_forward

The BasicShape class should have the following members: Private Member Variable: area, type double used to hold the shape's area. Public Member Functions: setArea: assigns received argument to area variable. getArea. This function should return the value in the member variable area. calcArea. This function should be a pure virtual function. Next, define a class named Circle . It should be derived from the BasicShape class. It should have the following members: Private Member Variables: centerX, type integer used to hold the x coordinate of the circle’s center. centerY, type integer used to hold the y coordinate of the circle’s center. radius, type double used to hold the circle's radius. Public Member Functions: constructor—accepts values for centerX, centerY, and radius. Add appropriateconstructors, accessor functions, and mutator functions. Also define a functionnamed getLifespan that returns a string with the value “unknown lifespan.” Next, define a Dog class that is derived from Pet. The Dog class should have aprivate member variable named breed that stores the breed of the dog. Add mutator and accessor functions for the breed variable and appropriate constructors.Redefine the getLifespan function to return “Approximately 7 years” if the dog’sweight is over 100 pounds and “Approximately 13 years” if the dog’s weight isunder 100 pounds. Next, define a Rock class that is derived from Pet. Redefine the getLifespanfunction to return “Thousands of years.” Finally, write a test program that creates instances of pet rocks and pet dogs thatexercise the inherited and redefined functions. use c++arrow_forward
- C++ Personal Information Class: Design a class that holds the following personal data: name, age, and phone number. Write appropriate accessor and mutator functions. Demonstrate the class by writing a program that creates three instances of it. One instance should hold your information, and the other two should hold your friend's or family member's information.arrow_forwardCode in C# (OOP Concept) Define a class named Movie.Include private fields for the title, year and name of the director. Include following member functions SetTitle, SetYear, SetDirector. Display() that displays all the information about a Movie. Compare() which accepts 2 objects of type Movie and displays whether or not they were released in the same year and also whether the Directors are same. This method must exist as a class member and not as an instance member. Provide a default constructor and a copy constructor to this class. Illustrate all the constructors as well as all the methods by defining two objects movie1 and movie2.arrow_forwardEmployee and ProductionWorker ClassesCreate an Employee class that has properties for the following data:Employee nameEmployee numberNext, create a class named ProductionWorker that is derived from the Employee class. The Shift property will hold an integer value representing the shift that the employee works. The day shift is shift 1 and the night shift is shift 2.Create an application that creates an object of the ProductionWorker class and lets the user enter data for each of the object’s properties.
