To prove that α+β=γ , it is required to find the angles DBQ and DQB in the triangle BQD .

From the figure, it is observed that the angles DBQ and ABC are made by intersecting the two lines AQ and CD .

Thus, DBQ and ABC are vertical angles and they are equal.

That is, DBQ=ABC

From the figure, observe the triangle ABC .

Then,

  CAB+ABC+BCA=πα+ABC+π2=πABC=π2α

Since, DBQ=ABC then DBQ=π2α .

From the figure, it is observed that the angles DQB and PQR are made by intersecting the two lines BR and PD .

Thus, DQB and PQR are vertical angles and they are equal.

That is, DQB=PQR
