Chapter 7.3, Problem 1CYP
Summary Introduction
To write:
Distinguish between aerobic and anaerobic fermentation.
Given:
Aerobic respiration and anaerobic fermentation both the processes are utilized in the production of energy to cells. The aerobic respiration occurs in presence of oxygen while anaerobic fermentation takes place without oxygen. The end products of each process are also different.
Introduction:
Aerobic respiration requires oxygen to produce a large amount of energy in the form adenosine triphosphate (ATP) whereas, anaerobic fermentation occurs in absence of oxygen and does not produce ATP.
