Introduction:

In prokaryotes the transcription and translation are coupled together, so no processing of RNA is required. In the case of eukaryotic cells, transcription occurs in “nucleus” and translation occurs in the “cytoplasm”. So RNA undergoes various modifications before it enters into the cytoplasm for the process of translation.
