Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
The standard enthalpy of formation of KClis to be calculated.
Concept introduction:
The change in enthalpy of a reaction when reactants are altered to products is the same whether the reaction takes place in one step or in multiple steps. This is known as Hess’s law.
While adding the thermochemical equations the enthalpy change value is also added, which gives the enthalpy change of the net reaction.
On reversing any equation the sign of enthalpy change value is changed to the opposite sign.
