Summary Introduction

To determine: The reason that ${\text{G}}_1$ is crucial in the life of cell.

Concept introduction:

Cell division is completed in two phases: interphase and mitotic phase. Interphase involves the ${\text{G}}_1$ phase in which cell growth, and growth of cell organelle occurs. In S phase the DNA duplication occurs, and in ${\text{G}}_2$ phase the cell prepares itself for division. Mitotic phase involves prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase through which nuclear division takes place.
