This question has three parts but is one question, I can't ask them separately because there would not be appropriate context.
PART ONE:
You want to plant beets on 3– 580 foot beds. Each bed has 5 rows of beets. The desired planting rate is 0.5 oz. of beet seed per 100 feet of row. How much beet seed will it take to plant all 3 beds?a. 43.5 ozb. 87.0 ozc. 8.7 ozd. 17.4 oz
PART TWO:
Beets will typically yield one bunch for every 18” of row. If you can sell the bunched beets for $1.50 per bunch, what would be your gross income from the 3 beds described in the above question?a. $4,200b. $5,800c. $6,400d. $8,700
PART THREE:
If the beds in the first question are on 6-ft centers, what would be the approximate gross income per acre for the beets?a. $36,000b. $12,000c. $24,000d. $30,000
**Note: I asked the first question separately and someone got 43.5 ounces of seed for the three beds, but applying this answer to the follow up questions has not gotten me anywhere, so I am skeptical.
What would be the units for (c)?
