Chapter 9, Problem 11TYR
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Diarthrosis is also known as synovial joint. It is the most commonly occurring joint in the human body, especially in the long bones of the body such as limbs. Synovial joints are a complex type of joint that are made of bones where the ends of the bone have a layer of hyaline or fibrocartilage. The two bones between are well placed within the joint capsule and are separated from each other by a space called as synovial cavity. The synovial cavity has a lubricating fluid known as synovial fluid. Diarthroses are freely movable joints because the joint is well protected by the lubricating fluid.
