DNA stands for “Deoxyribonucleic acid”. The organisms that contain well-defined genetic material present in a nuclear membrane are called eukaryotes. However, the organisms that do not have a membrane bound genetic material are called prokaryotes. The eukaryotes have DNA as their genetic material while prokaryotes have RNA.
