How variable. Remember that the standard deviation measures how far a typical score is from the mean. We didn’t learn a formula to compute it, and you aren’t expected to compute it. However, for the set of exam scores below, if you are told that the standard deviation is either 2.7 or 10.3, which one must it be? Explain why.
