Question
Chapter 9.5, Problem 2R
Summary Introduction
To review:
The role of phosphofructokinase in controlling the glycolysis reaction.
Introduction:
Glycolysis is the catabolic pathway for glucose, which releases energy instantly. The intermediates and end-products serve as precursors for other reactions also. In the presence of an excess amount of a compound, other reactions may be triggered. As a result, the compound may lose its prime role in the concerned reaction. Therefore, the biochemical reactions are controlled at each and every step.
