The human body consists of three types of muscles. They are:
- Smooth muscle
- Cardiac muscle
- Skeletal muscle
Skeletal muscles are striated in appearance and possess multiple nuclei that lie at the periphery position. Cardiac muscle is present in the heart with striations and also has a single nucleus near the center.
