How company can establish a socialization program that will maximize employee creativity and independence and if employees in all locations need equal levels of creativity.
Case Summary: Newskool Grooves is transnational company developing music software. Its founder and CEO is Gerd Finger. The company’s headquarters are in Berlin where new products are developed and organizational strategy is established. The final decisions to hire employees are always taken by Finger and he also put lots of emphasis on independent work styles. Employees want to work at this company because it’s cutting edge and the organization has a much decentralized culture.
Interpretation: Organizations with undefined and flexible organizational designs are called boundary less organizations. Internal and external boundaries of the organizations are eliminated by boundary less organizations. The process that helps newly hired employees to understand the policies, procedures and culture of the company is called employee socialization. Also employees do not require equal level of creativity who are working in all the locations of a boundary less organization.
