Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Molarity of the sodium sulfate solution has to be calculated if $\text{15}\text{.5}\text{g}$ of sodium sulfate is dissolved in the water to make $\text{350}\text{mL}$ solution.

Concept Introduction:

Molarity of the solution is defined as the number of moles of solute that is dissolved in the volume of solution in liters.  Unit of molarity is $\text{mol}\cdot {\text{L}}^{-1}$.  The equation for molarity is given as follows;

    $\text{Molarity (M)}=\frac{\text{Amount of solute in moles}}{\text{Volume of solution in liters}}$
