Scientific Process Create a hypothesis statement based on the question provided by your GLA.  In this experiment, we created a hypothesis that Paper towel A holds the most water out of the three paper towel types. We assumed this because of the weight and durability of the paper towel compared to the two other paper towel brands. Along with the paper towel A and its durability, the towel also has a different texture than the other paper towels allowing it to hold more water. Making it to be the most reliable paper towel.  Describe the methods used to carry out your experiment. Refer to the background information on writing methods.  Fill the beaker to 100m. Fold the paper towel five times into a small square. After folding the towel, put the paper towel in the water in the beaker. Leave the paper towel in the beaker for 10 seconds. Let remaining water drip off for ten more seconds. The last step in the process is to take the soaked paper towel and weigh it on the scale.  Briefly describe the results of your experiment.  A1- 2.8 grams before water, 32.0 grams after water soak A2 - 2.8 grams before water, 31.4 grams after water soak B1 - 1.6 grams before water, 17.7 grams after water soak B2 - 1.6 grams before water, 17.0 grams after water soak  C1 - 1.8 grams before water, 24.7 grams after water soak C1 - 1.8 grams before water, 24.1 grams after water soak The differences in after and before water soak.  A1 - 29.2       B1 -15.1        C1 - 22.9 A1 - 28.6       B2 - 14.4       C2 - 22.3 Based on the amount of grams absorbed by both towels, it is clear that paper towel A is stronger than paper towel B.  Based on your results, explain how your hypothesis was supported or not supported. (2 pts) Based off of the results from the paper towel soake my hypothesis was supported because of how well paper towel A did during the process. We were able to learn how much more water exaclty each towel was supposed to hold. With nearly double the amount of grams absorbed, paper towel A had the most success compared to the other towels.  Given the information you received from the class data, how would your hypothesis change?
Given the information from previous groups work, I would keep my original hypothesis because of the success it had during the epxirement. Although it was interesting to see how different groups approached the expirement which is a great way to learn more information. In the logn run I would not change my hypothesis. I would only change it if I were not to receive the data I did. However, since my hypothesis was correct it did not change my original hypothesis.
