I have never interpreted the idea of collecting my own data and conclusions about my own students. I have thought about giving personality trait test and more test to get to know them better, but this surprised me because keeping my students grades into a data format can help me regularly assess them. This will help me teaching by giving me an insight to see how grades improve or decrease through certain criteria of learning. “They continually observe their students in a variety of contexts—not only in the classroom but also in the hallways and cafeteria, on the playground, at extracurricular events, and during parent–teacher conferences,” for this quote this surprised me because it gives me a
good format to provide in other ways of communicating my students grades besides just for my own knowledge, this will keep information on their behaviors not only in my classroom but outside as well. B: Response to Prompt B goes here. -
I do not disagree with anything in this chapter overall, I have a good understanding on how to work and manage different formats for data and reading them. C: Response to Prompt C goes here.

If I were to use this type of teaching to keep updates on my students. How do I assess these finding in an age appropriate and skill level appropriate way? I want to be a physical education teacher and some student’s skill levels vary not based on their ages. Therefore, how do I make the judgement call on whether they are reaching their full potential and meeting the criteria of what skills they should be able to handle? D: Response to Prompt D goes here. I would like to incorporate and educate my students on using these different types of data to research topics that will be seen within the health portion of physical education. With health education it is required by most states that the first year of high school students take health and wellness for a full credit. This will be helpful for them to engage themselves in data to fully understand what they are learning if they have to research. After researching these variety of topics eventually I will have them group up and do presentations in the classroom. This will open the opportunity for a class discussion on their takeaways from the assignments. Chapter 2: Cognitive and Linguistic Development A: Response to Prompt A goes here. One thing that surprised me is in Figure 2.1 Bronfenbrenner’s Bioecological systems perspective. I never thought about it in a passage of time, I knew there were a lot of factors that influenced a child’s developmental abilities but some of these were surprising. For example, “Mesosystem: Interaction among various microsystems (e.g., between family and school)” this surprised me because it can make sense of why children
with hyperactivity disciplinary actions at school have, but their parents are concerned for
their education in the other. This information gives teacher the ideas in which activities and different strategies can help this child in different ways. For example, keeping a student engaged by giving classroom jobs. B: Response to Prompt B goes here. -
I don’t disagree but I do not find many connections with the Piaget’s Theory. C: Response to Prompt C goes here. -
If a child is struggling with language barriers in the classroom and is preforming poorly because of a miscommunication. What can I as a teacher use as a different approach to interact with this student? The same goes for these student’s parents when the majority of the time they speak better English then their parents. D: Response to Prompt D goes here. It should be at least a paragraph.

One thing that I would like to do in my classroom is for students to get a better understanding of their family history. Doing activities such as family trees along with research I feel like will give them a better understanding on why the look, talk, and do certain things. I feel like this will help with one of the biggest issues in our society, weight. For students especially in high school they have a harder time excepting the way they look, this is because there are so many different social media outlets they could get bullied on. If they understand why they are different then other people, after researching topics they will better understand how to make adaptations or adjustments to their life.
