Clifton Strengths Self Analyzation
The Clifton Strength assessment for measuring what makes people unique, broken down into thirty-four themes. Out of the thirty- four themes, the top five are my greatest strengths. My top five are: connectedness, restorative, individualization, strategic and activator. I will be going over each of my top five themes and my analysis of the results.
Connectedness
Everything has a purpose; nothing happens for no reason. Reading about the description that someone must share something in common with someone else, is very me. I like to make sure that people have a connection with other people, I believe when everyone knows each other,
everyone can get along better. The weakness area for this is: likely to lose motivation if my perception cannot connect ideas or if I do not see how something matters to the goal. Another weakness is the same attitude that everything happens for a reason, can come across in a negative
way to downplay others. I also have a weak area were unexpected, or drastic changes can be upsetting to me. I have had the misfortune of people becoming more distant because I am just trying to make light of something to make someone feel better about something and the intent was not to make the person feel worse, but it sometimes comes across in a negative way. Restorative
Finding ways to resolve problems and having enough knowledge or experience about something to fully feel like I have acceptable results. I often feel like if I have not mastered something, knowing the ins and outs of it, that I am not comfortable with that area. I do seek out people that I believe are honest, and dependable to seek feedback about myself or situations, or how I could have managed things differently. I like to be efficient and effective, so when I am
looking back and analyzing what had happened, I want someone I can trust and is also knowledgeable. Reliable resources for other perspectives. Individualization
This one describes me very well! I want people to succeed, and knowledge is power. I am good at getting people to work together with the result of productivity to be the goal; it is okay if people do not have a good relationship with each other all the time, it does not mean they cannot work together to get something done, that needs to be. If I feel experienced in an area, I am going
to try and help others to also be successful, when everyone is successful it helps everyone. Often-
times, I am aware about everything that is going on with everything, I like to be aware because it
is helpful information to pass on or needed information to be able to get things done. Some of these things might seem obscure information at times but it is good to keep in mind. Weaknesses with this theme: may be slow to make decisions, I might come off as not genuine, and I sometimes do this one, copying others study habits that work for them, they do not work for me. Strategic
I do often have more ideas or solutions, and sometimes I do feel more engaged by challenging things, and I understand select things faster than others. I also lack understanding of things sometimes though but that might be due to my dyslexic brain. On the downside of this, I sometimes have too many options, and I can get stuck picking a plan. Classes that do not challenge me can be boring. Currently in life I am trying to decide on, living situation, and there are so many variables and options that I honestly have not been able to see clearly what I want to
do. Activator
The Strategic theme contradicts this theme, Activator is about turning thoughts into actions. Thinking about it further, if I have not picked a plan, said plan will not turn into action. I
find motivation in solving problems and constantly seeking out a multitude of methods to achieve the goal. Weaknesses with this theme are “…trouble finding the energy to complete things” (Gallup, 2023, p. 4). This weakness applies very much to me, I frequently have too much
motivation at times, on the other hand, I find myself trying to motivate myself to get stuff done.
In conclusion, I see myself in the description of these five themes. Previously, I have acknowledged a few of my strengths and weaknesses; I like this assessment because it describes me very well and clearly. I really liked this from the Gallup website, “Most people are taught to work on their weaknesses—to fix them. But instead, they should be learning how their strengths can overshadow their weaker areas” (Gallup). Focusing on what I am good at and being aware of
what I am lacking sounds better than forcing myself to be good at everything.
Transformational Leadership Theory
Strengths
Three of my top themes from the
Clifton Strength Assessment: connectedness, individualization, and restorative; align well with the Transformational theory leadership. Transformational theory is people focused, help followers internalize organizational goals, and powerful morel, motivational and team building skills
(One-Minute Leadership Theories Discription)
. Connectedness theme is everything has a purpose, and everyone can connect to each other; much like the people focusing in the transformational theory. Individualization is getting people together to achieve a goal, like the transformational theory of helping followers internalize organizational goals. Restorative theme, seek out people that are honest,
and dependable to get a different point of view about myself or situations, or how I could
have managed things differently; a very helpful attribute on how to motivate and team build in the transformational theory. Chemers said that “True transformational leadership occurs when followers adopt institutional objectives as part of their own self-concept and pursue their own personal fulfilment by achieving collective purposes” (Aaleteeg, 2017, p. 41)
.
Self-Awareness
This topic highlights the following objectives:

I want to put some ideas on what we go over in the class: There were two group presentations for case analysis, and the class went over the next chapter 10, which is about dyadic relations and followers. We both have to work on weekly class individual assignments, and both have team time to review study questions from chapters 9 & 10 for next upcoming test. At the end, we got a chance as a team to play Jeopardy! to compete against one another for bonus points for all the question that we been reviewed.

ETHICAL DILEMMA 1: Happiness Coaches for Employees
We know there is considerable spillover from personal unhappiness to negative emotions at work. Moreover, those who experience negative emotions in life and at work are more likely to engage in counterproductive behaviors with customers, clients, or fellow employees.
Increasingly, organizations such as American Express, UBS, and KPMG are turning to happiness coaches to address this spillover from personal unhappiness to work emotions and behaviors.
Srikumar Rao is a former college professor who has the nickname, “the happiness guru.” Rao teaches people to analyze negative emotions to prevent them from becoming overwhelming. If your job is restructured, for example, Rao suggests avoiding negative thoughts and feelings about it. Instead, he advises, tell yourself it could turn out well in the long run, and there is no way to know at present.
Beyond reframing the emotional impact of work situations, some happiness coaches attack the…
