Week 8: Research Paper
Styles of leadership within an organization are vital to execute the vision, purpose, and strategies to achieve corporate goals because they provide direction and guidance to employees. By having a variety of leadership styles in place, organizations can ensure that their vision, purpose, and strategies are effectively implemented and that their corporate goals are achieved. Leadership styles can influence how employees
interact with each other, approach tasks, and respond to challenges. Different leadership styles can also create a positive work environment, foster collaboration, and motivate employees to reach their goals. Practical leadership skills and traits ensure organizational success by providing direction and guidance to employees. Influential leaders can motivate and inspire their employees, create a positive work environment, foster collaboration, and encourage employees to take the initiative and be creative. Effective leaders also demonstrate integrity, honesty, and fairness and set an excellent example for their employees.
On the other hand, poor leadership skills and strategies can lead to an organization's overall failure. Leaders may need more skills to motivate and inspire their
employees, create a positive work environment, or foster collaboration. Leaders may also need to gain the necessary skills to set a good example for their employees or demonstrate integrity, honesty, and fairness. As a result, poor leadership skills and strategies can lead to the overall failure of an organization.
There are different forms of leadership, such as servant, ethical, authentic, and transformational. Each of these is important to the success of an organization. Servant leadership is crucial because it focuses on the growth and development of people. It

emphasizes building relationships, listening to others, and providing support and guidance. It also promotes a culture of trust and respect, which can help to create a positive work environment and foster a sense of loyalty and commitment among employees. By focusing on the growth and development of people, servant leadership can help organizations achieve their goals and objectives.
Servant leadership is a leadership style in which the leader's primary goal is to serve their followers rather than seek power or control. This approach emphasizes empathy, humility, and a focus on the needs of others. Research has shown that when leaders adopt a servant leadership approach, focusing on their followers' needs, it can have a positive effect on organizational functioning (Lee, A., Lyubovnikova, J., Tian, A. W., & Knight, C., 2020). There are several reasons why a servant leadership approach can benefit organizational functioning. First, it fosters a positive organizational culture. When leaders prioritize their followers' needs and well-being, it creates a sense of trust and mutual respect between the leader and the employees. This, in turn, can lead to increased job satisfaction and organizational commitment among employees, leading to
improved organizational functioning.
Servant leaders are often more effective at empowering their followers. By giving employees a sense of autonomy and ownership over their work, servant leaders can help develop their followers' skills and knowledge. This, in turn, can lead to increased job performance, creativity, and innovation, improving organizational functioning. Research suggests that when leaders adopt a servant leadership approach, focusing on
their followers' needs, it can have a positive effect on organizational functioning by
