Client Description
The American athletic footwear and apparel company selected as my client selection is Nike Inc.
Nike is the largest athletic apparel brand in the world with a worldwide revenue of 46.71 billion dollars (Tighe,2023). Nike has many digital assets that include NFTs, images, PDFs, graphics, and websites. The Nike company website is https://about.nike.com/en
. The social media platforms that Nike uses are Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. Each of their social media platforms has multiple @ handles for their various subdivisions. Business Challenge
When pinpointing challenges for Nike, overstocking their inventory plays a major role. As stated
on blogs “ One of the main challenges is the overstocked inventory levels, resulting from supply chain issues, which have led to increased shipping times and costs, as well as disruptions caused by Covid-related store closures”( Analyst, 2023). I would aid the company by creating an inventory plan to help with finding the right amount of items to produce based on sales, and the number of locations the items will be shipped to. Also within this plan, the company will have to find one sole shipping company to complete all of their orders to produce a discounted rate to lower prices and delivery time. Global Business Environments
In regards to the appropriate digital marketing strategy for Nike, the first strategy that plays a major role in the company is sponsorships, endorsements, and digital marketing. Nike as a company collaborates with the top professional athletes in the world, sports teams, and fashionably accredited celebrities to promote their brand and various products. Digital marketing
plays a major role, when these professional athletes, sports teams, and or celebrities post a picture, video, or promotion ad on social media platforms for all of their followers to see
