Overview
Our main focus for a new eco friendly restaurant is to create a business that can
provide delicious and healthy meals while minimizing our impact on the
environment. We plan to create and provide our clients a menu that features plant
based meals as well as other dietary meals such as vegan, gluten-free meals, and
use organic locally sourced ingredients in every dish we will serve, which would
contribute to reduce carbon footprints. We will also used various
renewable energy
sources such as solar panels to power our restaurant, smart thermostats to control
the temperature, among others. We plan to minimize waste by composting and
using it to fertilize local farms.
That said, our mission is to create a restaurant
that’s sustainable and health conscious
where we can make a positive impact on
our community and the environment.
Problems to solve
1
Reduce high energy
consumption
due to lighting
by installing energy saving
lighting, such as LED bulbs, as
well using solar panels, and
installing smart thermostats
2
Minimizing food waste and
packaging waste generated in
our restaurant by composting
all the waste and using it to
fertilize local farms as well
using compostable containers
and utensils
3
Contribute to the reduction of
carbon footprint emissions by
using locally sourced and
organic ingredients to prepare
every meal in our restaurant.
4
Variety of dishes for customers
with dietary restrictions or
preferences such as vegan,
gluten free, and vegetarian
dishes as well as plant based
options.
Key Features - What makes us different?
Some of our most relevant feature that will set us apart from other
restaurants include: usage of energy efficient appliances and
lighting to reduce energy consumption, vegan, vegetarian, gluten
free and plant based dishes to promote a much healthier
consumption, and reduce carbon emissions. We will also provide
takeout containers made from eco-friendly materials. We also plan
to educate and encourage our customers to be self aware about
sustainability and eco friendly practices shared through our social
media.

Subject: Updated Design Needed
Good morning Mr. Helmut,
We recently discussed the possibilities of you releasing your new innovation discovery to the organization. I understand you may have some concern regarding releasing the information of your findings as you may believe you will not receive credit or that the company is not open to new ideas. I wanted to reassure you we here at GDD will always be open to new innovative ideas that can increase the practices of the company.
I believe that your recent findings may be a solution to a business problem the company is experiencing. The company recently lost a contract due to the inability to price competitively for the number of large packages in the cargo hold. I believe with the help from you, with your new design, we would be able to double the number of packages held in the cargo hold.
Incorporating your ideas for this new design will help GDD deliver…
