Week 10 Discussion - Cause Marketing Watch the videos, Marketing for Social Change: What Is Cause Marketing? and Marketing for Social Change: Why Cause Marketing Is Important , and then respond to the following: Identify a cause-related marketing campaign that impressed you. What is the brand and the specific cause that partnered in this campaign? Why did this work well? While the internet makes shopping easier, consumers must now filter out tons of information daily. Moreover, the consumer’s shopping patterns have gone from a simple, linear purchase pattern into complex, cluttered chaos. The customer buying process describes the journey your customer goes through before they buy your product. Understanding your customer’s buying process is not only very important for your salespeople, it will also enable you to align your sales strategy accordingly (Johnston, 2021). Problem or Need Recognition - This is the first stage of the Consumer Decision Process in which the consumer is able to recognize what the problem or need is and subsequently, what product or kind of product would be able to meet this need. It is oftentimes recognized as the first and most crucial step in the process because if consumers do not perceive a problem or need, they generally will not move forward with considering a product purchase. For example, as I prepare for back to school season, I am aware that I will need to purchase high quality shoes that will endure many playground outings and adventures. Nike not only offers high quality clothing but athletic shoes for all sizes that have been proven to be comfortable and durable.
