Jerry: The app acts like a GPS like Google Maps except it primarily focuses on eco-friendly transportation choices where it lets the user choose the most sustainable option. The question the student tries to answer is how using the human psyche and behavior influences the design of an eco-friendly transportation app. The study chosen is about environmental citizenship behavior by M. D’Arco and V. Marino. The relationship of that question and how it relates to social informatics is Heba: The nature of the question the student chose to answer was creating a food-tracking app that uses AI where one takes a picture of the meal and then the AI scans it and calculates the calories. It also gives the nutritional facts and Heba emphasizes how it removes the hassle of putting information. From reading the questions, it is focused on the user’s needs and how they use the app. It relates to Social Informatics, which focuses on why counting calories or maintaining health is important. Where the app makes it easier for the user to access at any time. The specific work of the research study the student focused on the presentation was an article by JH Lee, J. Schroeder, and D. A. Epstein. Oluwakemi: The specific work of the research study the student focused on was about Diet and Physical Apps by Q. Wang, B. Egelandsdal, V. G. Amdam and M. Oostindjer. The product is about focusing on one’s nutritional health and in it, the app will recommend users on what they should eat and specific facts about the meal. The ultimate goal of the app is to have the recommendations for each meal be accurate and if it is truly nutritional. The nature of that goal is what is the importance of all this.
