Have you ever wanted to visit a state with beautiful mountains and waterfalls? If so Georgia is a great state to visit,because its known for it’s beautiful Appalachian Mountains. It also has beautiful waterfalls on the mountains.

Georgia’s climates range from about -17 degrees (the lowest it’s ever been) to 112 degrees (the highest it’s ever been) as of 1953. The average temperatures are about 32.6 degrees (lowest) and 92.2 degrees (highest.) Some natural resources in Georgia are peaches and peanuts. Georgia is the famous peach state not because of how many peaches it sells, nut because of the plethora of types of peaches they sell.

One of the most important events that had occurred in the state of Georgia that would forever shape its history begun shortly after the American Revolution. When the cotton gin was invented, Georgia’s economy had transformed into a cotton and tobacco based plantation economy. In order to keep with the demands of the economy and citizens, Georgia had adopted the Headright System. The Headright System granted every head of household large acreages of land, which would quickly replace the small farms in Georgia. Then in 1783, the Treaty of Paris had formally ended the American Revolution. Although the war had ended, the nation was still troubled with various issues. The state of Georgia would see shortly after the Revolutionary War that although the Treaty of Paris had given the Floridian territory back to Spain, they were to be left to settle an international dispute once Spain asserted their ownership of land east of the Mississippi and north of the Yazoo River. Georgian’s who were eager to purchase the large amounts of land found west of the Mississippi to either begin plantations or to sell lands to planters. This would soon cause the climax of much trouble in Georgia when state legislators and land companies would work together to essentially set the prices to sell the land in what would be known as the “Yazoo Sale” scandal, which would indirectly result in the Trail of Tears. Randolph County, also known as Piedmont Plateau, was created by an act of Alabama General Assembly on December, 18, 1832. The county is named for John Randolph, a former Virginia statesman. The county is named in Wedowee in 1834-35. The county encompasses 585 square miles. Randolph County had many popular towns which were, Rock Mills, Louina, Wadley, Wedowee, Graham, and a town that was taken that is now known as Clay Central. With Randolph County having gold, copper, Mica, tin, graphite, Kaolin, and Iron; Randolph County was one of the richest counties in state. The first white settlers noted that the county had an abundance of the “purest and coldest water in the world.” The county was developed for agriculture, specifically cotton plantations.

Bibb County, in central Georgia, was formed December 9, 1822. Geologically, Bibb County is located on the fall line where the southern Piedmont meets the Coastal Plain. Before the arrival of European settlers, the area had been a center of a series of Native American civilizations. The county sits on 249.76 square miles of land and there are approximately 622 people per square mile.

The mountains usually have a cooler temperature, around 74° Fahrenheit in the summer months. The amount of rain and precipitation varies every year, sometimes with long droughts. The Coastal Plain and Piedmont receive between 46 and 52 in of precipitation a year, while the mountains receive between 56 and 76 in.
