The hotel industry is one of the most important segments of the hospitality in large. Working in hotels allows its employees to have fun, emerge in new cultures on a daily basis and be able to advance further in the career. The lodging industry is one of the most rewarding, yet most challenging fields to work for. Confucius once said “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life”. The Hotel General Manager is responsible for the overall organization of the property, overseeing every function of the hotel and running the business.
