BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! Ugh. Shut up alarm. I’m going to ignore that annoying sound. “Wake up sweetie!”. Now I can’t ignore that annoying sound. “I’m coming Mom!”. Ugh. Now I have to get up and get on a plane to see my relatives. I mean I love them but, they live far. The first flight is 14 hours, the second flight is 2 hours and the third flight is 3 hours. Then there 's also the time I have to spend waiting for our flight. And during all that I have to stay in the same sweaty clothes. I slowly get out of bed and go to my washroom. Once I got to the bathroom I realized that I forgot to turn off the light. I didn 't turn it off since I was so sleepy. Anyways what’s wrong with wasting electricity? As I brush my teeth I let the water keep flowing …show more content…
While we were there we explored Nipenia. We went to a beautiful restaurant, village and park. In the village we passed by a small family. They seemed happy but then I saw them drinking dirty, filthy water. Mom told me not to look. After, Mom told me that in Nipenia clean water is a privilege. I was shocked. Something I could easily get was unaccessible to almost 9 million people. The next day we were able to get on the plane to Kelyan. That flight was the shortest flight so I decided to stay up. Once we got there we checked our flight status. It turned out our flight was canceled because of an “operational issue”. We had to find another flight. The next flight going to Slanda was in 4 hours. We explored Kelyan since we all wanted to go there. So we went to a nearby restaurant. We had some nice hamburgers and fries. It was so tasty, but the thing that disturbed me was the person outside the restaurant begging for food. My mom said that some people in Kelyan don’t have food. I kept thinking about it as we waited for the plane. After a while we could finally board the plane. The whole flight I slept while listening to a documentary. I woke up just in the nick of time. Finally, after a long trip I made it to Slanda. It was perfect. Although there was one problem, the electricity kept going out. During that time lights, Wi-Fi, and televisions stopped working. It made me see what I took for granted. We had a great time. When it was finally time to sleep
Not long ago, I was walking toward our local park with my two friends. It was the afternoon on the great sunny Friday, my favorite day of the week. It was rush hour, around 6'o clock in the evening to be exact, the time when people are just getting off from work. This occurrence was very unforgettable to me because, I learned a very important lesson at the end of my stressful situation that happened during the middle of my experience which is to be a bigger person for difficult situations.
I watched as the first orange hued rays of the sunrise wash over the dark and mysterious sky. The small glow travels across the wild blue yonder and starts to brighten up the deepest parts of the skyline and the town. Under the radiating sky there was no place of hiding, the light would finally hit you. This bright light brought the new day in, but it also brought dread to some.
He was a brilliant guy with a lot of potential, but he had one insecurity, he fainted to the sight of blood.
One day a dad his daughter and her brother went shopping to Walmart. The dad bought a new tv, and it was very shiny when they got to the cash register he realized he did not have enough money. He had saved five fake one hundred dollar bills from the Fun Fair, so he pulled them out and said: “I am buying this tv it says it is for five one hundred dollar bills and no tax included.” The register said, “are you sure?” He looked and said your right, but the dad carried white out with him everywhere he went he whited out the tax word that said tax included very expensive tv. So the dad and his children quickly carried out the tv when the cash register scanned and said: “here you go have a nice day!” The dad said back “we will thank you.” They carefully
I wake up and realize it’s a bright and sunny Saturday. As I casually walk to the kitchen still in my one-piece onesie, I find my 2 friends Wren and Zhee, whom she is the goddess of beauty and I am the goddess of problems. They share a few laughs as I panic and run back to my room to change into something more normal. After I change, I casually walk back to the kitchen where I was before, when I was shocked by my friends appearance. As I chew my rice crispy cereals they begin to brainstorm ideas of how to spend our Saturday together. Then, they mentioned the beach and it immediately caught my attention. I cheerfully wrap up my breakfast, then reply with a quick, “ definitely the beach."
Awakening to the bright morning light shining through my window, I lay in my bed trying to fall back asleep until I realize that it’s gameday. I jump out of bed and run into the kitchen where my mom is awake, dressed, and already cooking. She tells me to make sure I bring my long sleeve shirt because it was cool outside. I quickly pack my bag. It’s as if everything was hidden on purpose and my life depended on finding each and every little item. I go to look for the long sleeve shirt, just in case, but it wasn’t where It was supposed to be. I don’t have time to look for it, so I leave without it. I pack my bag, then realize that I don’t have my jersey. Panic rushes over me. I won’t be able to play. Coach could give us replacements for knee pads or pants or maybe even a helmet but not a jersey. I frantically search the room for the jersey, unsuccessful. Right before I begin to freak out, my mom walks through the doorway with my jersey in her hand and says, “I washed it for ya; it smelled like a pig had worn it.” I jump up with my spirits lifted and took the jersey and threw it in the bag. It was time to leave.
I walk towards my mom's white Toyota where my mom waits for me. She has a grim expression on her face, but at the moment I don't notice it. I collapse into the passenger seat and look behind me to see that my sister wasn't here today. I assume that her friends mom picked her up from school that day as my mom drives out of the school parking lot.
“Wake up Kevin!!! You are going to be late for school.” my mom said. “Oh my God, calm down, you do not have to be crazy and start screaming at me every time” Yup, that’s what happens every morning when it’s time to wake up to go to school. I don't blame my mother for screaming at me. I'm a very lazy person and give my parents a very hard time when they tell me to do something. I'll finish the job, but not when they tell me too.
Painting the warm tangerine Indian sky, the sun retreats for the day. A swirling mist envelopes the cacophony of the city, ushers in a soothing touch to a highly humid atmosphere. The zephyrs simultaneously clear the bituminous asphalt by stealing away decayed leaves and wilted petals. They whirl around, lingering as if caught in a vicious catfight, to finally disappear into the vast unknown. The silhouette of the sinking sun descends faultlessly into the almost placid lake, its waters stirred only by the symmetrical synchronization of paddling ducks.
Each Friday morning, during football season, I wake up with butterflies in my stomach. I wake up knowing that I have a football game that night. Football Fridays, for me, are usually filled with excitement, stress, anxiety, and nervousness. I wake up and put my jersey on as I think about the long stress and excitement-filled day I have ahead of me. The day starts off with the elementary halls favorite event, the Colonel Walk. Every Friday morning the football team lines up behind the band, cheerleaders, and dance team to walk the very halls we did every school day in elementary. We shake hands, high-five, and hug the students that look up to us as upperclassman and the teachers that helped make us the young adults that we have become.
Every Christmas, my family goes on a snowboarding trip to Colorado. We stay for a week in the beautiful city of Breckenridge. On Christmas eve of 2016, my family awoke to one of the most beautiful and visually pleasing days of the year. It was about nine o’clock when I looked out the window and saw the fresh, powdery snow that seemingly floated down from the sky. What a day, I thought to myself. I wondered how I was so lucky as to see such an aesthetic scene after only just waking up. After watching the snow sail gently through the sky for a couple of minutes, I turned around and saw that my family was awake too. We decided to go get some breakfast from the lobby because we wanted to eat before snowboarding. We knew it was going to be a long day.
I remember the day perfectly; my first day at this new, hot and sweaty school. I was sitting in photography class, the only class that I was excited about, because I appreciate the art of photographing so much. I love the thought of capturing a moment and keeping it frozen forever, all in this little eight by five piece of glossy paper. I walked in, looked across the room and there she was, this beautiful and breathtaking girl who was right in front of me.When I glanced up at her I could not look away, her appearance captivated me. I remember exactly what she looked like; she had on a red hoodie, a pair of skinny jeans, and black Vans. Her physical appearance was more desirable, she had beautiful, long brown hair that reminded me of a nice, warm cup of coffee. Her eyes were the color of the ocean, beautiful and light blue. Finally, what I feel like is the most important feature of her is her smile, the smile that drew me in from the moment I caught a peek of it. I knew from the minute I saw her that she was going to be the one person in this entire world that would actually treat me like I mattered. I knew that she would not belittle me for who I loved or what I decided to wear, this girl was indeed the one person who would turn my entire world upside down.
Projeto Tamar was an incredible life time moment, getting to do extraordinary things you don't do everyday like going zip lining, seeing turtles and most of all going on a trip with your friends and schoolmates without your parents.
On a late night, about 10:30. I make my bed and let my dog out to go to the bathroom. After letting her out, I lay in bed hoping to have a good dream. I take off my glasses and turn off my lamp, and turn off my wax burner because my mini poodle does not like the light that it emits, and she likes the moon light.
It was a cloudy morning, darkened gray smudges of wool surrounded the sky, the rain was showering the school, and the air had soothing coldness of the breeze.
