Ages 3- 8 months.
Physical development between this age is very enjoyable. At this age they are getting used to their own bodies. I noticed that they put their fingers in their mouth. They love to look at their hands and feet. I noticed that they are more to observing their hands more than anything. When they are being feed they will crab your finger. When they lay the baby on their stomachs at the age of 6 months or so they try and kick their feet and look like they want to swim. They get their hands moving and they love to be touched. So he really can understand when people talk to them. They are interested in printing. They are wanting to be color on the paper. They can mimic most words that you are saying to them. Emotional Development- I noticed at this age there are some show pride. They can show emotions of sad and happy. When they are sad they seem to have the frown face. They show they don’t well most don’t like to wait for anything. They show strong emotions on waiting. They want to be first and go when they want to go. I noticed at this age they are mad they want to hit. Amy was mad so she went and pinched Sam. The caregiver went to the situation and addressed it with Amy you are not to touch anyone.. She went to their level. Say sorry to Sam.
18-36 months
Physical Development at this age group they are moving with ease. They are able to many movements. They play games for the children to get their energy out. The game I observed was kinda like hokkie pokkie. They put the hands in and out. One hand at a time. But for the feet they would say not jump on the left foot, jump on the right foot. In the middle they would touch their head and turn around. It was a fun way to watch them use skills that they would not be able to use before. The jumping is the part they laughed and liked the most. They can walk with not help. Outside was a different type of development. They was climbing on little slides.
