Some of the factors are leadership, training, age, empowerment, organisational culture, motivation, gender and working environment . Leadership Leadership is an process where an individual influences group of people to achieve common goals. The role of a leader is very important in an organisation. When the leader motivates the employees working under him automatically the employees will face satisfaction and the performance will be higher. Training Training has become an important technique to improve an employees performance. The improvement in the performance of the employees or workers depends on the leader with whom they are working with. The trainers communication and interaction with the employees as well as the freshers improves their performance. The duration of the training also determines the persons behaviour towards the organisation and the performance and satisfaction level of the employees. Hence if the person is trained in an effective way he will have a satisfaction towards his job
Leadership is that process in which one person sets the purpose or direction for one or more other persons and gets them to move along together with him or her and with each other in that direction with competence and full commitment (Elliott, 2009). Leadership is supposed to guide people to attain a particular set vision. Motivation is fundamental in the process of leadership as if there is no motivation there will be laxity among the people involved. It is also a critical scenario for leadership to have followers; this will infer a relationship between leaders and followers (Frank, 2003).
Leadership is the process of influencing individuals or a group of individuals by providing purpose, direction with the support of others, and motivating those individuals with the purpose of accomplishing a certain obligation which is helpful to all individual that is involved.
What is leadership? Leadership by definition is the ability of an individual or organization to guide other individuals, teams, or organizations. Without leadership many would just follow one another's actions like blind sheep. Many of the powerful shifts in American history were started by men and women who made the decision to guide and instruct one another rather than being a follower.
Leadership is viewed as a form of art that help motivate a group to reach a goal and/or to be successful in a work environment. Leadership is important in a workplace to give employers a common to accomplish in a timely manner. It push them to be more successful and it motivate other to follow the same footsteps. This help employers to gain more valuable skills for the future.
As is mentioned in the textbook, the concept of leadership it refers to "the process of transforming an organization from what they are to what a leader would have them become" (2016, 350). A leader is someone who has the ability to be followed by people, knows how to achieve a goal, and inspire others. In order for a leader to succeed and be able to contribute efficiently to a company, he or she must not only understand and use his skills, but also effectively take advantage of the strengths and abilities of the team to fulfill the vision and mission of the company. Like I mentioned above, a leader has the key role of communicate the organization's vision, mission, and strategic objectives; this can be only been achieving by his/her example.
Over the last century, defining what exactly a leader is, has proven difficult, with many researchers creating their own definitions. However, I believe a leader is a person that can motivate and influence people to follow them in the quest to accomplish objectives and goals, which are part of a greater vision. Furthermore, leadership is the ability to motivate people to accomplish tasks or goals. In the workforce, leaders provide direction and motivate personnel to focus on steps to move towards the provided direction. In this way, leadership differs from management, as management plans, organizes, and moves in a controlled manner. An example is generating work schedules for employees, ensuring the organization has the appropriate amount of people to accomplish the company’s goals.
Many researchers (Chyung, 2007) agree that job satisfaction influences directly employees’ performance. Moreover, some researchers (Feder, 2000) believe that the higher job satisfaction is the more motivated employees are and, therefore, the more effectively they work. In such a way, the close relationship between job satisfaction and employees’ performance is obvious. At the same time, the development of view on job satisfaction as the key factor of a positive employees’ performance was accompanied by numerous debates and contradictions in terms of the development of the management theory. One of the major reason for the dispute was the belief that job satisfaction can be reached through the creation of positive workplace environment, whereas, on the other hand, some researchers (Feder, 2000) argued that motivation of employees is more important for job satisfaction than positive workplace environment. Many management theories emerged and offered different views on job satisfaction and the ways which help to achieve job satisfaction.
Leadership is an approach for a leader to guide, motivate, supervise, manage, and influence others in different situation to reach a goal. According to the Pettinger (2007), the leadership can be explained in several situations. First, the leaders have the responsible to provide vision and direction to the followers. Second, the leaders shall energise and motivate the followers. Third, the leaders shall set and enforce absolute standards of behaviour, attitude, presentation and performance.
Job analysis is a summary of a job’s tasks and the knowledge, skills and abilities required for a suitable performance. Companies, through their human resources departments, carry out the process of selecting candidates, seeking candidates who best meet the requirements of the job. With this selection carefully and detailed, companies seek to optimize the goods and services they offer, which makes the process of selection of employees of vital importance. The human resources department evaluates the performance and quality of employees and often detects problems caused by lack of training. They must then determine what type of training would be the best solution to the deficiencies of either employees or the organization. These training processes are designed to improve knowledge, attitudes, and skills of employees, trying to make a difference in their overall performance, or to solve problems related to organizational objectives, operational, administrative or planning. The goal is to improve the performance of employees in general, seeking to create a positive impact on public taste and achieve greater productivity. There are many methods used by companies to train their staff. Among the most used include training in the same workplace, conferences, classroom training, distance learning, closet-circuit television, among others. The purpose of this research is to determine how to carry out the evaluation of the training and how it does the transfer of training to the
“There is no research evidence that there is always a strong and positive relationship between job satisfaction and performance. A satisfied worker is not necessarily a high performer and a high performer is not necessarily a satisfied worker. Satisfaction may lead to good performance but good performance may just as well be the cause of satisfaction. The relationship can be reciprocal”. (Armstrong, 2007)
Job satisfaction is a variable and arguable matter of which it has been given a number of definitions by different author’s world -wide. Locke (1976, p.1304) describes job satisfaction as "a pleasurable or positive emotional state resulting from the apprajsa1o f one's job or job experiences". In other words reaching or achieving job satisfaction has a great deal to do with employees having a positive attitude towards their specific roles within the work place i.e. one employee may feel satisfaction when it comes to their job where-as another employee may not particularly feel the same way given the exact same job. Thus having a positive attitude regarding any type of job/task is an example of one achieving job satisfaction. In this paper we shall discuss whether implementing high levels of job satisfaction helps increase employee’s level of performance.
Leadership is when a person motivates, inspires, encourages, and directs activates that will lead to reaching goals (Jones and George, 2013). Being a leader is an important role, one can be a leader at their job, and in their home life.
Employee is an important assets in determine the successful and well-being of a company. Stagnant and incompetent employee will cause a company unable to compete with its rival and worst the company might be underperform and suffer great loss. Training plays an important role in enhancing or develops employee skills, ability, knowledge and attitude to increase their performance and competencies. Without training, the performance of employee is poor and organization will affected. According to Ho (2003), he stated that organization often thinks that training is costly to conduct buttraining can be view as an investment to achieve higher productivity in the organization. By conducting a systematic and well-plan training it can develop a satisfaction and meet the needs of employee to perform their job better in future. Besides that, a proper training will give both organization and employee benefits such as better quality work environment, provides a challenge whereby the employee have a chance to learn new things and ensure the goal and objectives more effectively met (Buckley, 1991). There are three practices methods that often being used by the Human Resource to conduct a training program in their organization which are classroom lecture method, coaching and on the job training.
Employee satisfaction is the individual employee’s general attitude towards the job. It is also an employee’s cognitive and affective evaluation of his or her job.
