Surveys are highly useful because of how flexible, quick, and accurate they can be. After completing my survey and analyzing the content, I was able to gather information on parts of the survey I would altar, delete, and what questions I would want to include. This survey was geared towards online college students and their experience. The two questions I would reword are question #3 by asking, “ What is your current GPA?” and giving them a scale. Ex: 2.0 or below, 2.1-2.5, 2.6-3.0, 3.1-3.5, 3.6-4.0. I would make this question multiple choices because that would make the question look more desirable and the surveyors would know it is an estimate. If it is left open ended, many people would not to be able to recall exact information and find it too personal to answer. Also, # 17 is a double barreled question because it is questioning what services and what support does the ASU Curriculum Instruction Department needs to provide. I would separate both questions so the surveyors can answer questions separately to obtain more accurate results. There are two questions I would delete, # 11 and #12-15. The survey is about the online students’ experience with their masters and not technology. I believe another survey would be needed that focuses on technology. I would also delete #8 or #9 because they both seem redundant on how likely surveyors are in …show more content…
Then use the information to drive the program in a way that meets the needs of teachers and students. Once the data is collected, the counselor would be able to decide what services she needs to offer her students, and her weekly meetings with the students would be more targeted. Also, a survey can be created for the students. The survey can be where they rate the counseling session and the counselor can gather data on how safe, loved, and welcomed the students
In order to collect data, I posted the link to my survey on my facebook account and sent the link to some students. They chose to voluntarily enter their responses. I left the survey open for about half a day and received 41 responses.

The development of outcome measures for counseling programs is essential in order to measure the benefits of participating in a particular program. Measuring outcomes data is crucial for the students and the program staff involved because it provides data that can be used to assess if the program is being effective or if students are benefitting from participating in the program. And if the program is not being effective, measuring outcomes data can serve to identify particular activities that are not effective, which allows for modification. Additionally, sometimes change is needed at times in order to improve the effectiveness of the program. Programs are usually funded through some sort of federal or state funding. However, in order to prove the value of your program to the funders, the
A portion of Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher Initiative is to inform the administration and principals within school districts there is a need to use a portion of their budgets to pay for professional development for counselors. To stay current, school counselors must be given time to attend conferences to grow professionally. An essential component in school counseling currently is employing data into the school counseling program. Counselors constantly need to find new strategies, spend time researching, and collaborate with other pupil service members.

Knowledge is power and a college campus is the gathering place for those who understand this rule. Properly collecting large amounts of data in the form of opinions and thoughts of those who go to a college is important to evoke conversations and provide answers to various topics. The following literature review will take a look at four surveys that were taken place on college campuses to see how proper survey creation and distribution is needed to collect quality data.
Use of need based tutoring and counseling available for students involved in program, aimed to increase academic success, retention, and graduation for students.

The study performed on students enrolled in the MBA program at Whatsamattu U will determine the mean of students GPA. The variables in this study include their age, gender, major; GPA, Bachelors GPA, course load, English speaking status, family, and weekly hours spent studying. Although it is common, most schools grades at the MBA level are divided only between A's and B's. For that reason, the graph displays an expected mean GPA of 3.50. In order to examine the unknown data, we will conduct a hypothesis test with significance level of 0.50 (a tolerance level of error we are willing to accept during this study). Furthermore, the one sample hypothesis test for the mean will calculate the unidentified statistics to determine if the
100% of students will receive a pre- and post-test to test their knowledge of mental health resources and pre- and post-counseling survey to show how counseling affected their mental health/school dynamic.
As a marketing consultant, Shah’s Surveytastic Survey should align the same freemium model with a focus in growing the business and attempting to reach new customers. In fact, simplicity and easy to use survey platform is what they should target for to engage more individuals and get their feedback that can be used to collect meaningful data. To do that, Shah’s Surveytastic Survey could allow everyone who is part of the university (students or faculty) to sign up, create and send their surveys with basic features like having 10 questions, 100 responses and email support for free. Since universities tend to have professors students and faculty members from different demographics, Surveytastic Survey should include different language options
The first question on the survey was. Do you participate in extracurricular activities? Which from the people surveyed was a unanimous yes. This was expected due to the sheer number of people who participate in extracurricular activities as well as the variety of extracurricular activities.
After reviewing the survey, I found it to be very lengthy and redundant. Some of the questions are asking the same thing but the wording is slightly different. Also, the survey is requiring the employees to recall information that occurred several months ago. My improvement suggestion would be to reduce the length of the survey and make sure that it is geared more towards the objective of the survey.
