Leadership style is a combination of the natural qualities and manner in which a person carries out their role as a manager, along with the way they have consciously decided to perform this role. Here the leader makes all the decisions and no- one else gets a say. Louis uses this style with the new associates, teaching them the ropes of the firm in a harsh and direct manner, this is a good leadership style to use with them because it instils a good work ethic and a thick skin which is what they’ll need. It also makes sure that decisions are reliable because the associates don’t have enough experience and knowledge to have a say and make critical decisions.
