Leadership styles are a leader’s way of implementing direction, plans; and motivation though that of different leadership types. So, what are these three leadership styles, they are as follows: dictatorial, participative, and free-rein. Although, one can use different approaches to solving problems, finding the proper approach can be difficult unless one balances them out by using certain concepts; which could include participation and decisiveness. But before we consider what style to use one needed to look at each characteristic individually, then determine if it’s the best alternative in helping solve one’s problems; or concerns within the principal form.
One of this style’s is the autocratic style, a style designed for leaders to teach others to follow by example; letting others knows what you expect from them by using a straight forward approach. Basically, they lay out the situation to others, and take full responsibility for their own and others actions; through the process of decision making. When a decision needs to be made very quickly, when there is not a need for additional input, or when a team agreement is not needed, this type of leadership can work (mindtools.com, n.d.).
