Good communication skills are very essential in today’s society. When you look on job sites like, Indeed.com, majority of employers list qualifications that include good communication skills. To be successful in your occupation you need to communicate with co-workers and management. From instrumental communication, relational communication, and identity management use strategic ways people can communicate in order to achieve goals.
The communication process is extremely vital to the way we effectively develop relationships at work. First, in order to communicate effectively you must understand the basics of communication, which begins with the sender. The sender has to decide which way is an effective way to translate the message to others. This include face to face, or verbal communication. The sender must take into account when delivering a message, knowledge, education, and background of the receiver. If the delivery of the message is hard for the receiver to understand it can cause mistakes in organizations. According to Shadle and Meyer (2015), “It is important to beware of our communication patterns and how the impact our relationships with our team members and clients”. The receiver has to decode the message from the sender in the easiest way possible. Most senders in the workplace are upper management and have some form of experience. The final stage in basic communication is feedback. Feedback is the verbal and nonverbal communications reflected after the message
