Purpose
The purpose of the virtual lab is to investigate nutrition by giving the information to help make the right choices for the human body. The nutrient are chemical substances that have five major categories that help body use to grow, maintenance, and repair which are fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy. Adults need to have 130g of carbohydrates. If people take more carbohydrates, it will lead to diabetes mellitus or obesity. If people take less carbohydrates, it will lead to tissue wasting. Adults need to have 65g less than 30% of total caloric intake of lipids. If people take more lipids, it will lead to obesity and cardiovascular disease. If people take less lipids, it will lead to weight loss or problems controlling

Conclusion
If our body can access to healthy foods with meals plans of how many calories and benefits nutrients allowed, then it will improve health and make healthy eating habits. The data have supported the hypothesis because it shows the results. In the data, there is 1,576 calories which it is good. In the Daily Caloric Recommendation Chart, I am 21 years old and I am moderately active which means that I need to take 2,000-2,200 calories. My days are different because of my physical activity. I always take 3 miles jog every Tuesdays and Thursdays. I always go to the gym every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It depends how much calories I need to fill out the whole day without feeling tired. my chart showed bars that are green color which means I am on the right track. When I followed my mean plan for a
In this assignment I will be describing the characteristics of nutrients and the benefits to the body.
According to my three day diet analysis it seems like my eating habits are poor. Not necessarily that I am consuming too many bad foods but I am not getting the all around nutrients that I need on a daily basis. Sometimes not eating enough. Or ot finding time to eat at all is a big issue in this. Due to my job and the lack of time I have at home it is hard for me to get the nutrients I need on a daily basis. With the target that is shown of six oz. of grains two and a half cups of vegetables, two cups of fruits, two cups of dairy and five and a half oz. of protein foods I fell short in most of the areas that were targeted for me. My biggest two areas of consumption was refined grains and protein.
My data could be more accurate if I had used only one source for food data, and find the exact measurements for what I ate. Also, my record of fruits and vegetables may not have been accurate because I do not usually eat them alone, so they may have been in my food and I did not take account of them. On the third day, I ate Jack in the Box the whole day, which is a rare event to occur in my diet. On the weekends I am less active, but
4) I cannot answer this question with the information presented, but it should be pretty straightforward to say which foods
The influences of underlying health conditions can result in the need for specific nutrients as well as influencing what people are or aren’t able to eat.
Throughout this paper you will find that it is going to be discussing many things. Some of those things are to describe a current health problem or nutritional need that I may be experiencing, four nutritional or physical exercise goals, the actions taken to meet each goal, the anticipated setbacks or difficulties and the approaches to overcome them, the outcomes by which to measure success, evidence of the plans effectiveness by addressing the identified problem or need, and the evaluation of potential health risks that may develop if the plan is not implemented. So basically this paper is going to be about a realistic nutrition and exercise plan that best suits me.
What nutrients are and how they affect our body, malnutrition, deficiency etc. The guidelines which determine nutritional health including dietary reference values (DRV), what a balanced diet is and how to maintain this, what BMI is and how to calculate it, the eat well plate, I will explain possible influences on dietary intake, assess how these influences may affect the nutritional health of individuals and I will also make realistic recommendations for minimising the impact of negative influences on individuals in a specific health and social care setting.
There were a number of the things about the individual’s diet that I noticed firstly she doesn’t like change as she is consistent with each food she eats which is not necessarily a bad but in order for her to have a balanced diet she needs to eat a variety of foods.
My daily diet should contain a balance of proteins, carbohydrates (carbs), and lipids (collectively called macronutrients). According to Kirby (2011), micronutrients are substances such as vitamins, and minerals that are essential for healthy growth and developments. The body only requires small quantities of micronutrients and without them serious problems can arise. The role of each micronutrient makes proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids equally important in my diet. Proteins are important for repair and tissue growth, helps the body to make enzymes and hormones, as well as preserve lean muscle mass and is a source of energy. Carbohydrates are the body main source of energy and are easily broken down into glucose
In the table shown, it reflects my diet over a 3 day period. It shows the intake necessary based on a 2000 calorie diet and shows if the participant was receiving over or under the amount of nutrient necessary during the 3 day
Making sure nutritional needs become a part of any lifestyle requires understanding exactly what the body needs to obtain and maintain optimal health. The recording food intake for three days provides many areas of nutrition that I am more aware of that before; this includes protein, carbohydrate, lipid, and fiber intake needs. Meeting the nutritional needs of the human body helps to ensure a healthy lifestyle that is free of disease and illness.
Course Learning Objectives: In Nutrition, we explore the ever-evolving science of nutrition. Human nutrition is influenced by endogenous and exogenous factors. We will discuss related topics such as stress, environment, food processing, digestion, safety, and
For our week-long nutrition study, we decided to make three graphs: A bar graph, a scatter plot, and a box plot. For the bar graph, we wanted to compare protein, fat, sodium, and sugar because although they are not huge, we thought they should still be represented. As for the scatter plot, we analyzed our caloric intake per day throughout the week because we wanted to see how much we eat by day. And for the final graph, the box plot, we found the spread of how many grams of carbs we had per meal, as carbs is one of the biggest nutrition components.
A food guide (a reference for comparative food values and portions) can help the individual with weight management, whether for loss, gain or maintenance. This guide will help
Laboratory experience especially in engineering is a key factor to give technical education to the students. In the fast development of IT, virtual laboratory become an option in engineering field. The importance of laboratory experience in engineering education has long been recognized. The fact is, is virtual laboratory a good substitute to replace traditional laboratory or still have some weak point that need to be reconsidered in order to replace it? In this topic, I will discuss about the merit and demerits of the use of virtual laboratory in engineering.
