Working with group is important for any business because partnership, communication and time administration skill can be gained by group work (Davenport & Prusak, 1998). Group work helps to solve the problem and meet the goal easily. In different business situations such as real world problem, mismanagement and work with new employee, I participated simultaneously. As a group member I did the things listed below:
Communication
I shared my knowledge to the other member and contributed to the effort. I had done the assigned task given by the supervisor and helped to reduce ambiguity. I was aware of misunderstanding and potential disagreement. I managed effective communication with the supervisor.
Teamwork
I developed innovative ideas and helped other solve problems. I had brainstormed the ideas and appreciated charity of others.
Instance managing
I had focused on the productivity and prioritized the task within the time limit. I helped other to reduce time scheduling and prevent interruptions.
4.2Giving others the opportunity to contribute their ideas and opinions
The ideas given by anybody is important because if I disagree with other opinion then the will be discussed again (Myers, 1998). I gave other the opportunity to listen other people’s opinion because by this I can evaluate myself and my sense will be developed. I have heard other and talked about researching subjects increase my perspectives. I gave them chance because my mind will be open with new thinking. Then I

It is essential to have teamwork within a company. Companies who have embraced the concept of teamwork have reported increased performance in work production, problem solving and it has stimulated new growth. This group project approach has improved employee morale and increased input when managed correctly. The benefits of teamwork can make a positive effect in the company that incorporates this type of teamwork approach.

In my opinion, group work is a type of cooperative learning that helps people to accomplish a certain task in a faster and more effective manner. Team working also helps to achieve the tasks that are impossible to finish by one individual. However, if people in a group have a lot of conflicts, group work will not be able to achieve as much as we expected. There are many reasons which lead to dissatisfaction in group work such as individualism as well as conflicts in opinion and time.
After seeing what choices my assistant, Sarah, would have made I continued the simulation when I encountered my first obstacle. Since much of our time is spend in groups, it is helpful to work in groups because it will give an opportunity to improve their human functioning. Group work helps to develop individual skills in communication, relationship building and asserting oneself
Because our team only had seven members, not every role could be performed. As a matter of fact, some of us had to play two roles or three or more occasionally. According to Adair (1986), no matter which role who performs, individual contributions can be seen. Overall strengths of team and areas of weakness have been embodied in group work adequately. Unfortunately, due to less group members, 4 roles described by Belbin such as resource investigator, co-ordinator, implementer and completer finisher have not been well reflected.
Humans are social beings who organize themselves into groups that share a common interest and are essential for discovering, developing meaning, and self-worth. Groups are important for everyday work, and they work toward achieving a goal. Groups increase the information of one person by combining ideas and knowledge. They can also help people in their social life through interacting with other people and bypassing their comfort zone. Not much work can be done alone, whereas a group can help solve problems and assist each other in work. Our group shows example of docile, zealous, humble, and diligent whether it be in our group or each members and everyone contribute to keep the group working.
Many organizations today believe that the use of work teams will allow them to produce better products and provide better services, faster, and at lower costs. Using a work team approach can reinvigorate productivity and service provider motivation, and better position an organization to deal with a rapidly changing environment. However establishing effective work teams is not something that comes easy. Though, the benefits of effective work teams within an organization are very substantial, it takes alot of hard work and dedication on the part of management and team members to develop, implement and maintain effective work teams.
Realizing that a group can become a high performance team is important. Accomplishing this goal is invaluable, advantageous and profitable. Once able to operate from a group to the high performing team is a great step into preparation into the big business world. Leaders and members must also realize not only how to accomplish this but that some problems will and can arise from different demographic characteristics and cultural diversity. That is if one is in such a group, which the probability would be quite high.

This about how to work with groups and other team members, most of the time it is hard to do but with our jobs nowadays we have to do what we have to do. I like working with others for the most part, especially when they are motivated in getting the job done in a timely manner. Then we have some that just don’t want to help but want everybody else to do their work for them.
