Some of the strategies I want to keep and start applying to become more successful student are to Plan weekly study times, log onto Blackboard a minimum three times per week, work hard, and set SMART goal. Planning weekly study time and check Blackboard are very important to me because I need to know how my schedule will be for all of my class and when my assignment due. For each week I have to work hard complete all the tasks on my weekly plan and I want my goal to be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound for exactly what I want to achieve so It will keep me focused on what I want and what I have to do to get there.

In our classroom syllabus there are three important things to note which are classroom rules, and expectations, attendance and make up work, and is the way my grade will be determined in English II. Some of these things will don't be heavily affected on my grade it still plays a role during this high school year for me. These rules and expectations might not be the best, but it's what I think the most important things are. My goal in this paper is to explain in more depth about the three important things in our classroom syllabus, also to make you understand the concept of these three important things in the syllabus.
The strategic planning process begins by reviewing the organizations mission, vision and values. Clarifying the mission, vision, and goals at the beginning strategic planning process can help align fragmented entities (2 p. 293). The mission statement identifies the organizations reason for existing and how it is unique in comparison to other organizations (A p. 294). It is a short, concise and clear statement that serves as a rallying point for the organization (4 p. 752). The mission provides clues about the types of services that can be expected from the organization (A). Failing to check new projects against the mission can cause an organization to get into trouble (A p. 294).
The greatest struggle in our educational system is the lack of educators that are willing to activate the students’ interest in the subject. Instead of increasing the students’ motivation to learn, students are being presented with material that is meaningless to them. I believe that effective teaching starts by presenting students with material that seems relevant to them. Presenting fresh ideas to students increases their motivation. Breaking the monotone routine makes students willing to explore new content. It is the teacher’s responsibility to provide students with some motivation that augments the students’ willingness to learn a topic. Learning is a step by step process that will not occur over night. This process requires great effort from both the teacher and the
Your training program is delivered to your employees in the implementation phase of the training model. Classes are taught or taken online. Students receive their training and practice how to use their new skills. Materials and training products are distributed to participants, and classes begin. Initial results are measured, and the program begins to take shape in your company. If the preceding phases are conducted properly, implementation runs smoothly and the training is taken and received as it was intended.
Cognitive skills and the student’s abilities’ alone cannot account for individual’s learning. Other factors such as motivation and self-regulation play a role in the students learning as well. This cognitive approach leads to self-regulation learning. This learning process places emphasis on the student being proactive in developing their learning skills. The learner sets their goals, develop their own learning strategies, monitor and modify their progress when needed (Schunk, 2006). In order for this learning process to be effective, the student has to be motivated and committed to accomplishing their goals. The more the learning is invested in the process, the more effective learning becomes. This is critical to the learning process.
Many students view education as an obligation rather than a privilege and fail to engage fully in their studies. Moreover in schools, teachers manage much of students’ learning, once they leave school, students have to manage most of their own learning so learning process should be enhanced in such away to help students to gain enthusiasm for their scholastic journey and acquire a passion for knowledge, for that purpose they need to establish goals, to persevere, to monitor their learning progress and adjust their learning strategies as necessary to overcome difficulties in learning1
No two people go through life the same exact ways. Some choose to live moment to moment while others feel the need to have a grander plan for their future. People develop plans for different scenarios in their life to include what college they will attend, what profession they want to enter, the type of wedding and even, when they want to get married. Individuals who live by a plan can often be heard referencing their Plan B or five-to-ten year plan. Just as individuals like to plan, businesses also want a blueprint for their short- and long-term growth. Planning enables organizational leaders and managers to play a significant role in creating progressive objectives that enrich company productivity and
First strategy is to embrace learning and use it to discover new learning opportunities, and I will implement this strategy by asking myself why I want to learn this and set my learning priorities. Second, to take ownership of my own learning experience, and I will implement this by setting my own pace of learning and be self-aware of my own capabilities. Third, to get involved, and this can be applied by collaborating with others who have valuable experiences to share. Fourth, to connect learning content to real life situations, and this can be achieved by experimenting and engaging which makes learning more interesting. Finally, to value learning rather than information and academic grading by understanding that learning is more about how the experience fits into the context of my life. (Cobb,
In this overview of the topic, I will start by examining the origins of the deep, surface, and strategic approaches to learning in higher education, and the elements that make these approaches distinct from each other. There has been a significant amount of research on the concept of ‘approaches to learning’ especially in higher education. By utilising this research, I will explore the strengths and ‘usefulness’ of these concepts in understanding how students learn and address the implications arising from them. I will also include insights from my own personal experience of education prior to beginning University according to each approach.
For teachers to be effective in the classroom, it is important that a range of strategies are used to ensure students learn effectively. The essays purpose is to relate this to the understanding of the main learning theories, especially learnt in weeks six and seven. This will also provide the opportunity to begin applying these theories in the classroom setting ,by using an essay, that works to analyse teaching practices. All the while being critical about one’s beliefs on learning as well as teaching. And using it to consider, the influence of developmental factors on students,to show that it is vital for a teacher to have a variety of strategies so their students learns as effective as possible.
