We can build a control system that will automatically adj ust a motorcycle” s radio volume as the noise generated by the motorcycle changes. The noise generated by the motorcycle increases with speed. As the noise increases, the system increases the volume of the radio. Assume that the amount of noise can be represented by a voltage generated by the speedometer cable, and the volume of the radio is controlled by a dc voltage (Hogan I988). If the dc voltage represents the desired volume disturbed by the motorcycle noise, draw the functional block, diagram of the automatic volume control system, showing the input transducer, the volume control circuit, and the speed transducer as blocks. Also, show the following signals: the desired volume as an input, the actual volume as an output, and voltages representing speed, desired volume, and actual volume. An animation PowerPoint presentation (PPT) demonstrating this system is available for instructors. See Motorcycle. [Section 1.4: Introduction to a Case Studyl

- Can you answer the question?arrow_forwardI have been working on this Solid Mech problem for a while and have gottem nowhere we are supposed to be finding the modulus of elasticity for a set of data (attached). I have made an excel sheet from this to finda stress strain graph. I understand how the modulus of elasticity is (E = (delta stress)/(delta strain)) but I cannot find the propotional limit that I need to find delta stress and delta strainarrow_forwardYou are the mechatronics engineer of a manufacturing plant. You decide to perform an analysis on a robot arm of the assembly line with the objective of optimizing its performance. After taking several readings of the speed of the arm’s end effector, you approximate its velocity to the function given below. v(t) = -t4 + 5t3 - 7t2 + 3t + 0.22 0 =< t =< 3 where the velocity is in ms-1 Use your knowledge of differentiation to sketch the velocity-time graph, clearly marking the critical points. Using the graph sketched in (a) above, estimate the velocity when t = 1.5 s Calculate the velocity of the function when t = 1.5 s by substituting to the velocity function. Compare this value to the value you estimated in b above.arrow_forward
