Given:

The total value of the investor’s stocks remained unchanged at the end of each day is $74,000 .

At the end of Monday the closing prices of Stock A is $10 , Stock B is $25 and Stock C is $29 ,

At the end of Tuesday the closing prices of Stock A is $12 , Stock B is $20 and Stock C is $32 and,

At the end of Wednesday the closing prices of Stock A is $16 , Stock B is $15 and Stock C is $32 .

Calculation:

Let the number of shares of Stock A own by investor is x,

The number of shares of Stock B own by investor is y and,

The number of shares of Stock C own by investor is z.

To get the number of shares of each stock own by investor, convert all the facts into equation.

The closing prices at the end of Monday are $10 of Stock A, $25 of Stock B and $29 of Stock C and total value of investor’s stocks remained unchanged at the end of Monday is $74,000 , create an equation for variable Monday,

10x+25y+29z=74,000 (1)

The closing prices at the end of Tuesday are $12 of Stock A, $20 of Stock B and $32 of Stock C and total value of investor’s stocks remained unchanged at the end of Tuesday is $74,000 , create an equation for variable Tuesday,
